If you are ready to begin wearing your whitening trays, then you will have made your trays properly, recorded your INITIAL SHADE and TARGET SHADE and taken your whitening gel out of the freezer and placed it in the refrigerator. The other bottle will remain in the freezer to keep it as fresh as possible until we are ready to use it.
We also want to be very aware of the possibility of sensitivity. Please read the section on sensitivity and how you can control it with this product and still whiten your teeth beautifully. The instructional guidelines immediately below are if you have no initial sensitivities.
1. Remove the Gel from the refrigerator. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes so that the temperature rises to nearly room temperature. SHAKE THE BOTTLE VIGERIOUSLY FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS. THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT STEP. You want to make sure that the activator is fully mixed into the MUCO-PROTECTANT GEL. Please note the TIME. This is very important step also because you will be removing the whitening trays from your mouth every 30 Minutes to Replenish Your Trays with new gel. A lot of people forget this step. Be sure to Replenish with new gel every 30 minutes.
2.; Place a small bead of Gel along the inside border of the tray from one end to the other. It only takes a small bead about twice the thickness of a cooked piece of Spaghetti. Now using a
tooth pick spread out the gel along the FRONT surface only that will be touching the front of the tooth. If you do this correctly there will be only a very thin layer of material on the surface.
3. Place the tray into your mouth and push it into full position so that it fits snugly against the teeth. If you have overfilled the tray then Gel will flow out onto the gums. Don't worry. It will not hurt your gums. Just take a Kleenex and wipe off the excess material at the gum line and remember not to overfill the next time. Look at the clock and make yourself a reminder that in 30 Minutes you are going to remove the trays and replenish them with new gel.
A. Wear the Trays for a Maximum of 3 hours per day and a minimum of 1 hour per day. Any longer than three hours will cause sensitivity and any shorter than 1 hour will not effectively change the color of your teeth in a reasonable length of time.

B. You may wear the trays in any combination of the three hours you wish as long as you wear them for at least one hour. Remember this is the most flexible whitening agent in the world so if you miss a day or go on vacation or just don't have time right now don't worry about it. Just start over when you're ready to begin again.

C. The most common wear schedule is two sessions per day. Each session is
1 1/2 hours long. This wear schedule achieves the fastest whitening with minimum to Zero sensitivity.

D. Be sure to remove your trays every 30 Minutes and replenish the trays with new gel. (Have you read this before ) When you have placed your last "BEAD" of material in your tray for that last 30 Minutes of wear Immediately Place your Gel Back in The Refrigerator. This will keep it preserved and fresh for the entire time you are whitening.

F. You will notice that within 30-45 Seconds the gel in the tray will begin to form slightly. This means that the whitening agent, Hydrogen Peroxide has been activated and is now whitening your teeth. The Gel will remain active for 30 minutes and then begin to degrade. That is why you need to replenish your trays every 30 minutes.

G. When your Whitening session is complete rinse out your mouth and the trays. Place your trays in the retainer case and put them UP AND AWAY from Children and PETS. Dogs will eat them and cats will take them away. Keep them in a cool place. Heat will distort them and they will not fit correctly. Tray fit is one of the important factors in whitening the teeth. Brush and Floss your teeth normally every day. You must remove the PLAQUE from between your teeth and the gum line if you want them to whiten effectively. So Please be extra careful brushing and flossing. Your dentist will love you for this.

H. After each Wear Session wait 30 Minutes before consuming any COLORED DRINKS. Be sure to put your Gel back in the refrigerator. When your current bottle is empty (About 2 weeks) take out the second bottle from the freezer and place it in the refrigerator so that it will be ready for your next wear session.
Remember you can wear the trays in any combination of the three hours you wish. You can wear them for three one hour sessions, or a two hour and then one hour, or one hour then two hour, or a single hour, or three hours at one time. Just remember that sensitivity can develop and you don't want to develop sensitivity. So start slow and work up to what ever you can do.. Regardless of how you do it , you will arrive at your target shade.
If sensitivity develops beyond normal cold sensitivity or you get a few ZINGS on the front surface of a tooth every once in a while that's OK, But if you experience sensitivity that effects your eating, or drinking normal beverages then read the section on how you can control sensitivity and still whiten.
That's all there is to it. At first it will take a little time to get used to the technique, but after the first few sessions you'll be an expert and it will only take a minute or two to begin whitening. Remember you have the EXACT SAME MATERIAL that dentist use in TOP COSMETIC OFFICES. Your results will depend on your wearing the trays correctly. One last thing-don't throw away your trays when you have finished your whitening treatment. Keep them in a safe place. You can re-order a "TOUCH-UP" or "BOOSTING" bottle to use periodically to keep your teeth
TOTALLY WHITE.
