Tooth Whitening Checklist for success
This is your step by step guide to Whitening success
1. Watch the Videos on making trays (Video #1) and using the Whitening gel (Video #2) so that you can compare and see the importance of each of the Steps to Success below.Go to TOOTH WHITENING VIDEOS on the menu bar to the left to access the videos.
2. Go to the "How to Determine shades" , and Print The "SHADE GUIDE". Please follow the instructions so that you can have a professional grade tooth whitening shade guide to measure your shades correctly. If you have any confusion watch Video #6 on how to take a shade, recording your shade and determining your target shade. Be sure to write this information down.
3. Read about sensitivity ( Sensitivity Issues) and its importance in the success of this treatment. .This is important because you should select the wear schedule that will not cause any sensitivity. Please Watch Video #5 about pre-whitening sensitivity.
4. If you haven't watched video #2 on the proper way to use your whitening gel and Video #3 on determining the right wear schedule for you, then do that now.
5. Read the written instructions Item #2 or #3 which ever applies to you. Remember Sensitivity is the NUMBER 1 COMPLICATION in whitening teeth.
6.. Set up a time to whiten your teeth and the wear schedule that you intend to use and begin whitening your teeth. Be sure to put your Gel back in the Refrigerator after you have finished your wear session. Stick to the daily schedule to reach success.
7.. After you have started your whitening adjust your wear schedule appropriately for any sensitivity. Re-read sensitivity issues and review the sensitivity wear schedule if sensitivity develops.
8.. After 1 week do a progress check by taking your shade guide and noting how many shades you have changed. Write this down. You'll be surprised. If necessary watch video #6 again on taking and recording shades.
9.. Continue whitening into the second week and finish out your first bottle of Gel. Then take another progress shade check. Write this new shade down. NOW ,being REALISTIC about your TARGET Shade ,ask yourself if you need to go any further. If so then keep going to reach your target shade.
10.. Remove the second bottle of Gel from the freezer and place it into the Refrigerator so that it will be ready for your next wear session.
11.. Continue whitening for 1 more week at which time you should be into the top 4 colors on the shade guide. IMMEDIATELY place the remaining GEL into the Freezer to keep it fresh for several years.
12. Watch Video # 4 and follow the instructions. You are now finished actively whitening your teeth and your are an expert at it . Share your knowledge with your friends because they will be complimenting you asking you about your beautiful smile. Give yourself a lot of credit because most people want the quick way to success and there isn't a quick way to whiten the teeth without severe sensitivity. Congratulations.
